“Music Toons” stars anti-folk musician and underground comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis and his best friend Pen Pal, a talking pen who is really intimidated by the idea or drawing anything. Jeff shows Pen Pal how to draw something new in each episode and then screens a “lo-fi music video” for him about whatever they drew that day. These “videos” consist of flipping through a large book of drawings with a band playing the music as Jeff sings the story of the drawings. This series was produced for Activity TV on Comcast Xfinity OnDemand with our good friends at Center City Film and Video.
